ABOUT UNITY ELECTRICAL SALES
Dan Sherwin, CSPOwner/Outside Sales
After graduating from high school in 1970, Dan attended Robert Morris College. He entered the electrical field as a warehouseman for L & R Electric in 1972, and later attended evening classes at the University of Pittsburgh and Penn Technical Institute until 1977. He then founded the Sherwin & Co. which became Sherwin-Davis in 1979. The company was renamed Sherwin Wilson Electrical Sales, Inc. in 1996 when Dan partnered with Mark Wilson. In May 2007, Dan completed a week-long course to achieve status as a Certified Sales Professional (CSP) Dan is the sales manager for the Commercial-Residential division of Unity Electrical Sales.

Mark MadiaOwner/Industrial-OEM Outside Sales
Mark has lived in Pittsburgh all of his life and has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris College. In 1976, he entered the electrical industry as a sales representative for a local company. In 1987, he joined forces with Tom Paul to purchase Robert W. Colley & Associates, forming the Madia-Paul organization, which focused on the OEM/Industrial market. |

Mark S. Wilson, CPMROwner/Outside Sales
A native of western Pennsylvania, Mark is a 1981 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Mark started his career with Midland Ross (now Thomas & Betts) as a sales trainee. He worked his way through the ranks to become a sales manager, and then into marketing as a product line manager. To further his sales and marketing experience, Mark accepted a position with Appleton Electric (a division of Emerson Electric) as a specification engineer. In 1993, Mark followed his entrepreneurial spirit and went to work for an independent representative. In 1996, he joined forces with Dan Sherwin to form Sherwin Wilson Electrical Sales, Inc. In 2003, Mark successfully completed the necessary requirements to achieve status as a Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative (CPMR). Mark is the Managing Partner of Unity Electrical Sales.

Christy GossOwner/Commercial-Residential Outside Sales
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Christy is a 1987 graduate of Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Marketing. Christy began her electrical career with the National Association of Electrical Distributors in Wilton, Connecticut, managing their EPEC training program through the Education Foundation. From there, she relocated back to Memphis, joining Thomas & Betts as a Quotations Specialist. After completion of an in-depth sales training program, T&B transferred her to Pittsburgh in October 1994 as an outside sales representative. In 1998, she accepted a position with Pass & Seymour/Legrand, being promoted to District Sales Manager in 2001. |

Dave BensonOutside Sales
Dave began as a sales engineer in Construction Apparatus for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. After six years, he moved to Wesco, where he spent five years in construction field sales. Following his time there, Dave spent 14 years in marketing with the manufacturer Robicon, starting as a sales engineer and later becoming the product marketing manager. For the last 13 years, Dave has worked as a manufacturer's representative in the western Pennsylvania marketplace, joining Sherwin Wilson in 1999. |

Brian McGuire/WVOutside Sales
Brian resides in Bluefield, Virginia as an outside sales representative. He is a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College, with an Associate's degree in Business Administration. He has extensive experience in underground electrical applications for the mining industry, and has also worked in sales for wholesale distribution in mining and industrial markets. |

Don Peare, RCDD/WVOutside Sales
In 1979, Don began his electrical career with a distributor in the Columbus, Ohio market. He worked in various aspects of distribution including warehousing, purchasing, and counter sales. From there he advanced into inside and outside sales positions, covering the residential, commercial industrial and automation markets. Don has traveled the West Virginia, southern Ohio and eastern Kentucky territories as a sales representative for the past nine years prior to joining the Sherwin Wilson agency in March 2006. Don resides in Gallipolis, OH and is a registered RCDD through the BICSI organization. |

Dave PennGeneral Manager/Inside Sales
Dave has an extensive amount of experience in the electrical industry, with a career spanning more than 30 years. He started his career working with a distributor, and later held positions including warehouse supervisor, sales manager, and director of purchasing. Dave started with then named Sherwin Davis in 1984, and currently serves as general manager and an inside sales representative. |

Ben GahringTeam Leader of Project Management/Inside Sales
After graduating high school, Ben attended classes at CCAC in Pittsburgh for four semesters. In 2005, Ben graduated from Triangle Tech vocational school with an Associates Degree in Electrical Maintenance and Construction Technology. His first job was with Mitsubishi Electric building gas circuit breakers in a large production facility. In February 2006, Ben joined the staff of Sherwin-Wilson as the team leader of project management and assisting in inside sales. He continues in this role with Unity Electrical Sales focusing on job take-offs and project tracking. |

Dave DalbyInside Sales
A western Pennsylvania native and veteran of the electrical industry for more than 20 years, Dave's vast knowledge of products and product applications provides industrial, OEMs and system integrators the services required to succeed. Dave started his career in sales with an industrial distributor, working as an inside sales representative with an emphasis on product application. He then moved into outside sales while working with an independent electrical representative prior to joining Sherwin Wilson in 2002. |

Chris PilarskiInside Sales
Chris began working in the electrical industry when he took a summer job as a warehouseman with a local distributor. He later became a delivery driver, and eventually a counter person. After earning a business degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 1989, Chris accepted a sales position with Riggs Electrical Sales. Nine years later, he moved to Cutler Hammer as a customer service representative, where he moved up into pricing and quotations. After his position was transferred out of Pittsburgh, Chris went to work for a local lighting representative just prior to joining Sherwin Wilson in February of 2005. |

In order to keep our staff at the forefront of the industry, Unity Electrical Sales provides continuing education for all of its employees. This includes sales training at our manufacturers' facilities, weekly reviews and updates of the products we represent, and attendance at industry seminars and technical schools. Our team shares this knowledge with our distribution network, as well as providing our end-user customers with advanced application and product expertise to help drive demand.
A member in good standing with the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Associates (NEMRA), the company is also a member of the Electrical League of Western Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Builders Exchange, and the AIM Networking Group. Christy Goss serves on the Board of Directors for the Western Pennsylvania Electric League and is currently serving a two-year term as President.
